What will happen if history is solely written on the basis of imagination?
A distorted or imaginative history could ruin nations. They develop their ideas and concepts around wrong facts and pass on the fake history to their generations. Wrong ideas and concepts always lead to the destruction of society.

As with the wheel, cities and law codes, the earliest examples of written literature appear to have originated in ancient Mesopotamia. The Sumerian civilization first developed writing around 3400 B.C., when they began making markings on clay tablets in a script known as cuneiform.
How is imagination used in history?
Without reality-directed imagination, on the other hand, the study of history would be well-nigh impossible. Reality-directed imagination helps us to re-construct history, to describe it and to understand it. We thus use imagination to recreate what happened and to infer what may have happened.

It can change one’s perspective in shared knowledge for it is deeply rooted and entangled with our subconscious. One must understand that emotion will not always change one’s perspective, it depends on the person. And that person’s memory and rational mind (reason) play a great role in it.
